Most construction 3D captures take about one to four hours on site, depending on scope, and standard results are delivered in 24–36 hours. Priority delivery can be as little as 12 hours for suitable projects. Here is what changes the timing and how to prepare your site.
On site
Capture is non-intrusive and works around the trades, so work does not need to stop. The time depends on the floor area and the number of stages you want recorded on that visit.
Delivery
Standard: 24–36 hours.
Priority: as little as 12 hours for suitable projects, built for time-critical windows such as a pour or a plaster date.
Larger projects and Site Atlas: the schedule is agreed in your quote.
Point clouds and Scan-to-BIM: these need more processing and modelling time, and are quoted per project.
What affects the timing
Floor area and the number of stages.
Access and layout: tight, multi-level or cluttered sites take longer to walk.
Deliverables: a walkthrough is fastest, and a point cloud or model adds time.
Weather, for drone work.
How to prepare your site
Tell us when the stage will be ready: before the pour, or before the lining goes on.
Share access details such as gates, parking and a site contact.
Where practical, clear large obstructions from the areas to be recorded.
Let the site manager know we are coming. The trades can keep working.
